Backus Township Park

Backus Township Park is a peaceful and quaint spot situated around a small pond, perfect for fishing and enjoying nature. It features a lovely pavilion with tables, a bench overlooking the water, and a clean, roomy handicap-accessible bathroom. The park is dog-friendly and a favorite spot for dog owners who appreciate the respectfulness of keeping the area clean. While it is more of a quiet fishing hole than a typical large park, it offers a nice place to relax and connect with nature.

Cute small little fishing hole. Can’t really call it much of a park because other then the new pavilion and it being set around a pond it has nothing a park normally has and that’s why I only gave it 3 stars but it’s got’ better so hopefully soon I can update my review to more stars.
Super cute little park. Wish there would have been waste bins. 😉
I always stop there with my dogs, honestly I absolutely love it, it’s the only place I can find that will allow my dogs, which in turn I show respect for the park and make sure I clean up after me and the dogs, I have my lunch there, and either head off to West Branch or back to Mason. So here’s a big Thank you, from me and my dogs!
Nice to stop by on lunch time and have a moment of thought and nature
What a nice little park! Husband and I were just cruising around looking for a nice place to fish, and stumbled upon this peaceful spot. Had a lovely pavilion with tables, a bench overlooking the water, and had a clean, roomy handicap accessible bathroom! We fished for a bit, and enjoyed our time there. Will definitely be back. So glad we found this hidden gem!
