Stutz Park is a scenic and peaceful spot for dog owners located along the river in Provo, Utah. Well-loved by locals for its wide-open spaces and beautiful nature, this pet-friendly park provides a quiet escape from city life and the usual hustle found at other parks. Although it doesn’t have a dedicated playground, the park is perfect for dog-friendly walks and tranquil afternoons spent with your furry friends.
Visitors appreciate the open lawn and pet-friendly atmosphere, making Stutz Park a great place to let your dog explore on-leash and enjoy the fresh air. While it’s not an official off-leash dog park, many dog owners visit for relaxed, informal pet time—but remember that Provo’s leash laws are in effect and police occasionally check for compliance. This unique combination of riverfront views, historic charm, and open fields makes Stutz Park stand out among dog parks in Provo, Utah.
This park is great if you’re looking for wide open spaces but no playground. The only issue has been with Provo Police. Sometimes they come to check for dogs off leash. Just follow the Provo leash laws and you’ll be fine.

This is a beautiful park that I really enjoying coming to with my dog. Unfortunately, I cannot come here even when it’s empty without someone showing up with an off leash dog ( some times it’s groups up to 10) immediately charging my dog and I as we’re just trying to train and enjoy our time. They’re usually super disrespectful and put 0 effort into trying to control, contain, and recall their dogs. It’s extremely frustrating and in the end took my favorite park to being my least favorite park due to so many bad experiences with irresponsible dog owners who treat it like a free for all dog park.

A beautiful park that is great for dogs and escaping the noise of normal parks.

So nice to have this little park here next to the river. I wish the lawn care folks didn’t cut the lawn so dang short, it wastes water and turns brown easily.
