Riverview Park in Provo, Utah, is a scenic, pet-friendly neighborhood park nestled near the Provo River and just blocks from the shops at Riverwoods. Known for its expansive green space, paved walking trails, and tranquil natural surroundings, Riverview Park is a popular spot for both locals and visitors looking for a place to stroll with their dogs or enjoy outdoor activities. The park features tennis and pickleball courts, multiple restrooms, playgrounds, picnic pavilions, and direct river access where you and your pup can take in picturesque views or wade in shallow water.
While Riverview Park does not have a designated fenced-in dog area, it is popular among dog owners for its large open spaces and pet-friendly walking paths. There are shady spots provided by mature trees, seating near the playground and pavilions, and plenty of parking. It’s important to note that the park can become crowded, especially on weekends, and some visitors let their dogs off-leash despite general leash requirements. As with any dog-friendly park, pet owners should be mindful of noise, crowds, and their dogs’ behavior. Restrooms and parking are available, making it a convenient spot for families to gather or enjoy a peaceful walk with their four-legged friends.
Bathrooms, plenty of parking, great playground, lots of open green space, tucked back in a neighborhood for safety and quiet. Loved it!
I had high hopes, but this park is always crowded. Pickleball courts often full—hard to get on. Lot’s of debree after holiday fireworks. Some of the grass is marshy. Lot’s of dogs.
This park has always been a great place, especially in the mornings! Lots of space, play areas, and even a bit of nature. I have noticed a recent increase in rowdier crowds in the late afternoon on weekends and more dogs off leash so watch your step. I will miss sunsets here. I’m not a fan of the loudness and roaming dogs.
This park is a fun place to hang out. They have nice pickleball and Tennis courts and lots of open grass to play in and walk the dogs.
This beautiful park sits in a nice neighborhood only a few blocks from the shops at Riverwood. The park is equipped with two restrooms, two pavilions, two playgrounds, a tenis court, a small hill (great for children’s sledding), a disc golf course, and access to the provo river (shallow enough to wade in, if desired). There are also two bridges that are great for photo shoots.
