Such a gorgeous park! Super Clean, VERY Well maintained. More butterflies & dragons than you can count. Great for the pets, a jog, a walk, bring the rod, birding is a go. Disc golf available and plenty of different views of the lake. Loads of wild flowers and plenty of trails. I highly recommend a visit. Lots of free parking.
Probably my favorite local location to visit for its scenery; I personally prefer the north area of the park has due to its beautiful natural scenery that includes waterfalls, cliff faces, and some diverse mixed forests. The park unfortunately is heavily inundated with invasive plants, which while a common issue for any park, feels particularly detrimental to the area. Japanese knotweed is the biggest detractor in my opinion due to blocking view and access to the river and practically obfuscating portions of trails. This park would greatly benefit from more intensive invasive plant management practices.
I hiked in the southern area of the park, starting near the disc golf course. After parking there, I walked to the dam and crossed over it. From there, I walked into the woods and completed the Hemlock Loop Trail.
The dam is quite impressive and worth seeing, but the forest itself felt fairly typical. I found nothing unique about it. However, the atmosphere did feel somewhat eerie, almost as if I was being watched.
Overall, the hike was pleasant but not particularly memorable, aside from the imposing presence of the dam and the slightly unsettling vibe of the area.

Went on a five mile hike through this park. It was fantastic the park had clearly defined trails that varied in difficulty. All the while providing great scenery and animal sightings. Will definitely come back to hike the rest of the trails.
Was nice hike, little rocky and branches for trip hazards. But as long as you paid attention was nice hiking.
