We get there early because you don’t need a reservation for the shelter it will go early it’s the handicap shelter my ex husband uses a walker and it’s hard for him to walk it’s a great big shelter and a big grill as well…
Very nice and clean and the bathrooms are really clean as well. They take great care of everything.

Strange and Wonderful

It is a beautiful area. However the lake was not very clean (a lot of floating trash) and there really isn’t any good info put up at the info board. I also tried to call someone and it was impossible to get anyone.
One thing I was VERY upset about was, my father-in-law is handicapped. He lost his leg in the middle east and it was almost impossible for him to get to the water. We tried several places and we finally found a floating dock for us to walk out on to fish. There was a sign saying “No fishing from the dock” but we had been over that lake 2 times trying to find a place for him to get to the water, to no avail.
There needs to be ways for handicapped people to enjoy the lake as well. (Those of us whom are too poor to own a boat)
