Well maintained trails. Lots of Birds Butterflies and other wildlife. Trails close frequently to bikes and horses to keep them in good shape. Still lots of paved roads for bikes. Large parking area for horse trailers.

What a beautiful State Park. Incredibly well maintained, scenic, quiet and easy hiking access to the James river. The camping (RV) sites are kept up nicely, with clean fire pits and a picnic table. They have both water and electric with access to a dump site.

Nice outing…
Together with our friends and their two children, we visited this state park. Here, we had a picnic. Along the historic James River, this charming little state park offers a variety of water sports and lovely walking trails. The kids had a great time in the playground and were very happy.
