FAQ for Angora Frog Farm and Dog Park in Powell Tennessee:
Great little park! Such a little gem in our community! The nature trail is approx 2/3 mile and is an easy trek for low key walkers. The storybook trail and play equipment is great for young adventurers! The dog park area is spacious and has the basic amenities, but I do wish it had a more landscaped area and equipment for the dogs to play around with.
Very nice area. However beware there are skunks. They did not spray but they raided our picnic table and got into our snacks, lol.
This is a great park concept. Unlike traditional parks where all the play structures are in one spot, this is a storybook trail with different structures and activities along thirteen different stops. The trail feels like it is about a 0.75-1.00 mile loop. The trail is shaded by the natural forest for the most part, making it a great walking trail. There is a massive fenced-in dog park right at the front near the parking lot. One of the trail stops includes a small creek where kids can splash around while wearing shoes. All-around, this is a great community property for anyone to visit.
Campsite C10This is one of my new absolute favorite sites yet! While a majority of the campground is long-term, the sites along water are not. This specific spot was huge and next to a wooded area and nature walk and, in my opinion, the best site in the whole campground! The bathhouse was small, but functional and. The campground host was exceptionally friendly. No wifi. I have US Cellular and had limited service. Enough to maybe look something up and receive texts.
A very nice park well maintained. Quiet and out of the way. My only negative is the road into and out is narrow. I’m 57 ft and it can be difficult when passing another vehicle as a matter of fact an oncoming truck had to back up so I could get by. This is a rural neighborhood. “ fishing available on the lake”
Beauty all around. Beach and swim area for the kids. Nice new parking lot.
One of my very favorite places to take my four year old daughter and my dog. Pretty little trail to walk on, with a cute story for the kids to follow and fun equipment for them to climb on and get a workout. This is an adorable place to introduce your little one to nature and to build up to longer nature walks and hikes. Also, it has a nice dog run. The ONLY reason that this loses a star is that there is no restroom or even a porta potty, and the foliage isn’t really think enough to go in without risking being seen. VERY inconvenient if you plan on spending time here with your kids.
This place is SO neat! This is not a traditional park/playground. This is a story book brought to life through a trail in the woods. There were 13 (I think) different small play areas spread out along the trail that kids can use their imagination & act out the story. I’ve never seen any park even similar to this & it also has a shaded dog park at the beginning. Definitely so creative & a great day activity for families right in Powell. Highly recommend everyone to check it out!! One thing to make note of is that there are no restrooms here.
Will definitely bring the grandkids here. Nice walk, fun little activities for the kids to do between each bit of walking. Fun story on the walk.
