This is a nice park for my 2 year old twins. It was a low key minimal frills park. Its not fenced in which is a disadvantage for me , but it wasn’t too close to the road, so I had time to catch up with any run away toddlers , and it had just enough barriers to distract them mid runaway to help improve my chances of catching up. I’ll still require the help of another toddler chaser though for optimal twin safety.

We went yesterday around 10 and parts of the play ground were still shaded. Which is great for sun fearing vampires.. I mean mom’s such as myself. It was fully in the sun mid way through our visit though. This also meant the slides weren’t skin frying hot.

The jungle gyms were nice and in decent shape. My 35 and 34 inch tall girls had very little problems climbing on it. Also there were minimal areas where they could fall off if they lost balance or got bumped, so it will required us to monitor those areas closely.

It didn’t have big kid swings that I can remember, but it did offer 2 baby/toddler swings. They were a bit of too high for my 5’4” self, but still manageable.

I liked the open spaces around it especially this shaded wooded area surrounded by a path. It allowed my toddlers to explore/ run off some energy. They also enjoyed running around the tennis court.

Only 2 public courts in Powell…facing east to west instead of north to south. No fencing. Library is 100 yards away. Good nets & lines. Surface is good but slopes down toward the east. Good playground & walking paths. Open area for baseball/softball or soccer. Powell city commission will be budgeting for 2024 construction of 8 new lighted courts. A lot of Powell players go to Worthington, Dublin, Delaware or Concord township to find enough courts to play with large groups.

decent park…has small covered & lighted seating area…small playground for kids, 2 pickel ball courts, 1 diamond court, 2 goal posts for football (not american, but global), nice little walking trail, restrooms.
good for 5-6 family get-togethers, or single family fun.
