If ur looking to break the monotony of quarantine safely, this actual riverside park is a nice choice. Deep in the back of the lot are 2 covered pavilions,no tables only benches, 2 picnic tables outside the pavilion. Just below that area is the macadam trail for walks or biking. Near the pavilion is a wooden glass front cabinet with a FREE LIBRARY. I found a lovely book to read during my picnic lunch and was so engrossed that I brought it home to finish. As a mature women , I can tell u they have a porta potty and looking at the service schedule it gets cleaned often but also gets HEAVY use. I recommend that u place in ur cars toilet paper and sanitizer as I was lucky today but their nearly out of paper. I suspect, during COVID that this will be a theme at many opening parks.

It is pretty, but noisy. The trail walks along the Schuylkill river but brings you under route 100. After passing route 100 it gets a little bit quieter but then you walk along Keystone Blvd. Keystone Blvd is a dead end street, at that point the trail turns away from the road. When I was there the trail was closed and there were construction vehicles, so I’m not sure what is beyond that, but I will try it again. The park area by the college has 2 picnic bungalows, they seem very nice. I didn’t see a playground.

This is such a peaceful little park in the heart of Pottstown. Definitely a great area to go fishing, take a walk, sit by the river, have a picnic, or just go and enjoy some fresh air. There’s pavilions if you want to host a little gathering and there are bunches throughout the trail.
