The hotel features grassy areas around the property where guests can walk their dogs, although reviews mention that these spaces may not always be well-maintained (e.g., some guests have noted pet waste concerns).

What sets Red Lion Inn & Suites Post Falls apart for dog owners is its commitment to being pet-friendly and offering accessible outdoor areas for potty breaks. Exceptional Hospitality and Great Value!

I stayed at Red Lion Post Falls on September 9–10, and was warmly welcomed by Aman at the front desk. He was very courteous and offered me a fair rate for the night. The room was clean and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay.

The next morning, after checking out, I still had some pending work and decided to spend a few hours in the hotel lobby. The lady at the front desk was incredibly kind and attentive—she offered me coffee and juice multiple times and even volunteered to get me lunch. Later, another gentleman from the staff also offered refreshments, showing the same level of warmth and hospitality.

It truly felt like the hotel was run by a caring family that genuinely values their guests. The next time I’m in Post Falls, this will definitely be my go-to place to stay.

Well, I should have read reviews before I booked but that’s my fault. It wasn’t nearly as bad as the majority of the reviews but I wouldn’t stay there again. It was just a layover on our trip to Montana so it served it’s purpose. Lobby and hallway carpet is filthy, it needs deep cleaning or just replaced. Beds were comfortable but there was a visible dirty ” footprint” on my white comforter. Floors were sticky and there was dried poop in the toilet bowl. We asked for a quiet room and we’re placed on the freeway side so we heard traffic all night, mainly due to the fact that our window was cracked so it was literally like the window was open all night. We got about 3 hrs of sleep. Staff was very friendly and the Continental breakfast was good. Standard fare of fruits, waffles, yogurts, cereal and coffee.

Update: I appreciate that you responded, but saying you want the opportunity to welcome us back after our experience is more like a slap in the face if that is all you want to say after we were bitten by fleas. The previous owners of Red Lion were great and addressed issues with customers, apparently that is not a thing anymore with the new owners.

Booked the motel for two nights and left after the first night and requested a refund.

The rooms are older and it would appear that general maintenance is not done to keep things working properly. Our shower had a large crack in the fiberglass and the sink did not drain very well. One of the pillow cases was stained or was not replaced after the previous peoples stay. The carpets are older inside the rooms and hallways. The bathroom door was very difficult to shut because the door rub the frame.

It is a pet friendly hotel, but several people did not keep their pets on the leash when walking out of there rooms and several just allowed their dogs to use the bathroom on the grass and not pick it up, be careful when walking on grass areas towards the back of the motel.

After the first night we woke up to bites on are arms, torso, and legs. After pulling the blankets back and looking through the sheets I had found at least two fleas that were alive. We immediately packed our bags and informed the front staff and asked to cancel the remaining night.

If you are considering this motel for your stay I would highly recommend paying more for a better motel and experience. We’ve stayed at many Red Lions over the years with good experiences, but this establishment has really made me reconsider booking with the company ever again.

Traveling with my sister ( she booked the room before reading any reviews). Rooms are cheap but location, atmosphere and cleanliness just not worth it. Found black hair on the bed and in the bathtub, hall carpets stained, our screens were ripped. Did not even bother with the breakfast in the morning. Too many options in the area to bother with this motel.
Reply to their response-same response for more than a year, you hope to welcome us back but what will you have changed? Locking windows? Trained staff? Clean rooms? Not sure what “teams” you have but they are certainly not doing their jobs.
