Very nice fenced run-around area for doggos. Not terribly large, but area is well maintained and lined with wood chips. Very busy on weekday evenings. Our doggo loved it here!
Wallace dog park was an amazing adventure all around! Our dog Buddy, who’s about 9 months old, is a very sweet & friendly guy, with a TON of energy! A super social pup, who wants to say hi to everyone & everything! Wallace Dog Park was the perfect place for us! It’s located in a small corner of Wallace Park, on the corner of NW 24th & Quimby. Completely fenced in so the dogs can be off-leash. Free to play, run, chase, sniff & with enough space for them to interact with each other, or take a break, if it seems stressful or just slightly too much, for dog & or parent. W/out feeling “fenced-in”. Freedom to well, just be…dogs! Not only did Buddy have the absolute best time playing with all the other dogs, it was an excellent way to burn off excess energy, meet new friends & learn socialization skills. Upon entering/exiting is a small enclosed area, for leashing/unleashing, w/out all the distractions. They even have an enclosure, side by side, for smaller breeds. Or maybe doggies that don’t play so nice with others & you’re trying to fix that. Whatever personality your pooch has, they’ll have a spectacular time! You’ll have so much fun watching them, you won’t even notice the time has flew right by!
⚠️SPOILER ALERT⚠️
Your canine companion may be so tuckered out from playing so hard, you might find yourself carrying them the rest of the way home! My husband & I, ABSOLUTELY recommend this place!
Everyone watches their dogs. The super friendly ones will jump on you so wear old jeans. I got slimed by a face lick and muddy pants. It was worth it. Frenchies can do not wrong. There is a side for small dogs. Seems everyone uses the large dog side. The big dogs play nice. Ive only been 3 times. Bring your own water and dog bowl if thats important to you. Love the people too.
Great clean place to relax, have a picnic, take your kids to play, play basketball (which is rare at some parks in Portland), read, and bird watch especially during September. You can get a great walk or run here as well. Very good energy here.
A lovely park with great access to walk a dog or let them play in off leash areas. Also a great playground and plenty of room for everyone to have a spot of their own to picnic or just hang out.
