The Off-Leash Dog Area, located at 6901 SE 62nd Ave in Portland, Oregon, offers a secure and friendly environment for dog owners looking for a dedicated space to let their pups run free. This Portland dog park is fully enclosed with double-gated entrances for added safety, allowing dogs to play off-leash in a long, narrow area lined with trees for shade. The park’s central location and welcoming atmosphere make it a popular spot among local pet owners seeking dog-friendly activities and community vibes.

While the park provides plenty of room for dogs to stretch their legs and socialize, visitors note the importance of bringing their own water, as onsite water access may not always be available. The surface is primarily covered with wood chips, which can get muddy in the center during wet seasons. With easy parking—except at busy school times—and proximity to local favorites like Dairy Queen, this off-leash area is a convenient and enjoyable destination for a fun dog outing in Southeast Portland.

This park is narrow width but long. This set up seems to only have a single direction the dogs can run. My dog loves to run fast, and has had several issues with not enough space and dog wrestling going into the fences. we often end up going to the sports field right next to it. Also seems there’s seasonally there’s not enough mulch and the center gets a big muddy bog. But people and dogs have always been cool.

This is a good dog park. Enjoy the multiple east and west entrances. Double gates to prevent from dogs getting out. Lots of wood chips tambien. As long as school isn’t letting out, there is plenty of parking. After you let the dogs run you can swing by the local dairy queen, for a classic americana experience. Real throwback. Palabras

Great secure off leash dog park. Lots of room and a good amount of trees to provide shade for your pup. The only downside is there’s no onsite water to refill the dish, so be sure to bring your own water jug.
