Woodstock Park is one of the most popular dog parks in Portland, OR, thanks to its fully fenced, off-leash areas and the beautiful, tree-filled setting. With three separate fenced zones—including a dedicated area for small dogs—dog owners will find plenty of space for their pets to play and socialize safely. Shaded by mature sequoias and tall trees, the park offers ample relief from sun and rain, making it a comfortable spot year-round for both dogs and their humans.
Owners can relax at picnic tables and benches, enjoy scenic walking paths, or take advantage of nearby playgrounds and sports fields, ensuring fun for all ages. While there is no formal water fountain within the dog park, locals often provide water bowls and jugs for thirsty pups. The park is renowned for its friendly community, clean environment, and welcoming vibe—truly a dog-friendly paradise in Southeast Portland.
I love this neighborhood park, and since I have a dog that needs a lot of walks, I am there twice a day at least. But I’m also there for all of the community events that take place at the park – most notably and most recently, the Woodstock neighborhood’s Movie in the Park presented by Portland Parks and Rec and the Neighborhood Association. Delightful! There is also a ton of flat grassy space that is perfect for setting up volleyball courts. What I love most of all are the trees and the shade they provide during summer (and shelter during light rains). When I walk through the tree-heavy areas, it smells like I am in a forest while only being a block away from home.

Woodstock Park is a truly beautiful park. While it’s not the biggest in City or with the most amenities, it has a charm that’s all its own.
There’s often lots of activities going on in the park and it has a great hill for dogs to play on.

I had a fantastic time at Woodstock Park! The park is next to Woodstock Elementary, and the abundance of space is great for various activities. The old fashioned playground brought a nostalgic charm and was a hit with both kids and parents. There is a baseball field, soccer field, two tennis courts, and a picnic area in the shade. Plus, the presence of public restrooms was a definite convenience. There’s an unfenced area for playing with dogs. The dogs are technically supposed to be on leash, but people often have them loose and playing fetch. It’s a wonderful place for families, sports enthusiasts, and anyone looking to have a fun and active day outdoors.
