I love this neighborhood park, and since I have a dog that needs a lot of walks, I am there twice a day at least. But I’m also there for all of the community events that take place at the park – most notably and most recently, the Woodstock neighborhood’s Movie in the Park presented by Portland Parks and Rec and the Neighborhood Association. Delightful! There is also a ton of flat grassy space that is perfect for setting up volleyball courts. What I love most of all are the trees and the shade they provide during summer (and shelter during light rains). When I walk through the tree-heavy areas, it smells like I am in a forest while only being a block away from home.

Woodstock Park is a truly beautiful park. While it’s not the biggest in City or with the most amenities, it has a charm that’s all its own.

There’s often lots of activities going on in the park and it has a great hill for dogs to play on.

I had a fantastic time at Woodstock Park! The park is next to Woodstock Elementary, and the abundance of space is great for various activities. The old fashioned playground brought a nostalgic charm and was a hit with both kids and parents. There is a baseball field, soccer field, two tennis courts, and a picnic area in the shade. Plus, the presence of public restrooms was a definite convenience. There’s an unfenced area for playing with dogs. The dogs are technically supposed to be on leash, but people often have them loose and playing fetch. It’s a wonderful place for families, sports enthusiasts, and anyone looking to have a fun and active day outdoors.
