Luuwit View Park is a popular spot for dog owners in Portland, OR, offering expansive open green fields where you and your pup can enjoy some quality off-leash time. The park is known for its scenic panoramic views, including mountain vistas of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood on clear days, making it a picturesque location for daily strolls and playtime. Walking paths and ample open space provide a pet-friendly environment that locals love for both exercise and relaxation.

There are paved trails great for leashed dog walks and plenty of parking for easy access. While the park has a vibrant community vibe, reviews note that maintenance may be inconsistent at times, so visitors should be prepared for some natural wear and tear. Still, the combination of accessible amenities, beautiful views, and a friendly atmosphere make this dog park in Portland a standout for pet parents.
The park has a beautiful view except it’s been a cesspool of scandalous and shady environment from rude individuals who don’t know any common respect for one another. Plenty of space to walk around and they have bathrooms but their just as filthy as well.

Nice park for the kids and adults alike very close to PDX airport. Great place to see the planes approach the airport. There is play area for the kids and open lawn for adults to play. There is a small splash area as well for the kids. Ample of parking and restrooms and paved trails around the park. Although, the park is pretty good and has decent views, it could use a little upkeep. From the looks of it seemed like the park was not maintained for a while. The slides and play area was deteriorating and lawn was not mowed for months. I always appreciate these parks for my kid to enjoy and thank the city for having them.

Seems to me no one wants to give an honest review. All of the pictures in other reviews are outdated, so don’t be disappointed when this is what you see. I would give this park a 5 star review if it was kept up properly. The nicest things are the last two pictures, of the fire bird statue and the big open field. Unfortunately within the last year it seems the maintenance of this park has taken a hit. I did enjoy the dog park, it was a nice friendly visit.

I mean, it wouldn’t take a lot of work to make it better but, TRASH EVERYWHERE. The rubber mat ground cover has been thrashed in a ton of places, and on an 80 degree day, it just pours heat off of the surface and it Offgasses like a mother-trucker. Basically, standing in the area that’s got walls made out of it (rubber), its like standing in a paint booth with no mask on….The most Dystopian bathrooms I’ve ever seen. If you’re making a horror movie and need a kill room scene, come here. All the foliage is pretty young, so NO Shade really anywhere. Splash pad has several nozzles that need attention/non functional. Watched a car fire from atop the play structure. Oh and the merry go round, haha rider beware I wiped out all three kids (3-12y/o) on that thing, busted bleeding lips bruised legs all of it idk they just couldn’t not get sucked off the damn thing.
