Presumpscot Park offers a peaceful escape for locals and visitors seeking dog-friendly walking trails and scenic greenery right in the heart of Portland, Maine. While not a dedicated off-leash dog park, this location is appreciated for its quiet paths, small cropping of trees, and benches along the way—perfect for quick strolls with your pup or a moment of relaxation. The park’s low traffic means there’s plenty of space to enjoy a walk without heavy crowds, making it ideal for those who prefer a quieter environment.
This pet-friendly park boasts well-maintained paths ideal for walking, jogging, or simply letting your leashed dog stretch their legs. There are benches spread out for resting, and the park is complimented for its clean and cared-for appearance thanks to local maintenance efforts. Dog owners will also enjoy the park’s natural shade from trees—great for sunny days. Please note that while there is some shelter and lighting, and a portable restroom at the marina, specialized dog park features (like fenced areas or agility equipment) are not present here. Free parking is available nearby.
Took a nice walk on the short trails. Decent little spot to take a short walk on some nice little paths in a small cropping of trees.
It’s a small park but it’s nice to get out and not be around 100 people waiting to go on swings. I’m thankful I live in a place that I can walk to that allows you to be by yourself without noise.
