Well maintained park with multiple picnic tables and trails along the water. Plenty of parking at the parking lot with 2 porta-pottys. Great views of Port Tobacco Marina. There is an eagles nest on the premises that can be observed from several of the trails. Excellent way to spend a few hours in nature!

I came here not knowing what to expect but to my surprise it was pretty nice. That has a nice balance of woodsy trails, open grassland, resting spots and views of the Potomac River. It was cool seeing bald eagles high up on poles and trees protecting their nests. My favorite spot by far though is the pond. I would definitely come back again.

Great for a short, easy walk. Nice picnic area. Fun place to go birding.

I checked this out since it’s a hot spot on eBird. I spotted 21 species of birds in about an hour including a bald eagle and an osprey nesting on the pole on the north side of the park. You can also spot a number of butterflies here.

They have neat informational signs around the park and the trails are well groomed. There’s a good trail map near the entrance. There are also a couple of observation decks around the park with built in binoculars. My one gripe is that the marsh trail doesn’t have a good view of the marsh since you’re back in the trees.

We brought along a picnic lunch and the pavilion was empty so we ate there. There were a few more picnic tables deeper in the park but they were overgrown.

Excellent place to see a mating pair of bald eagles and well maintained trails as well! Great for a quick hike or walk in the outdoors. I was fortunate to be the only one here while enjoying the park. Unfortunately there is bottle and cans along the tree line near the road and sole trails so please help my picking those up! Great for a quick stop on any journey to get out and stretch your legs. Also a breeding and nesting ground for great herons

Cool spot to take a short walk and see the eagles. Immediately saw two eagles right when we pulled into the parking lot. Lots of informational plaques. Dog friendly.

Nice quiet park. It seems to be well maintained. I am looking forward to spring and summer. There is an eagles nest in the area and a butterfly garden. It was February when I first visited this park, not the best time of year for butterflies and a lot birds.
