Beautiful roadside park with an amazing view 💯😎🤘🏻🌅🌄🌞🧭🗺
Beautiful park. It was not open while I was there, but this would be a lot fun in the summer time. Historic lighthouse, museum, playground for children.
I’m not a fan that they changed it to where you cant walk the beach. I used to drive an hr to get here and I did today only to find out you cant get to the beach. Extremely disappointed.
Fun little Roadside Park just outside of Port Sanilac. Has a wonderful overlook of Lake Huron truly a sight to behold on a pleasant sunny summer morning. Or anytime of the year truly. There’s also some wooden steps that will take you down to lake level. And in case anyone was wondering what state has the most shoreline? I’d have to think Michigan with it’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas would have to hold that crown or be a strong contender at the very least. With shorelines a plenty boasting shorelines from 4 out of the 5 Great Lakes take sometime and find your favorite Lake community
A Hidden Jewel by the Roadside
Lake Huron Roadside Park—a small, seemingly humble stop that conceals its charms until you ascend the wooden staircase. A quick stretch of the legs turns into an unexpected encounter with grandeur. At the top, you’re greeted by a panorama worthy of admiration: the vast, ceaseless lake spreading itself generously before you, waves gently commanding attention as they roll rhythmically ashore.
It’s the kind of place one stumbles upon serendipitously, pauses to appreciate, and leaves reluctantly, promising oneself a swift return. Highly recommended for travelers in need of brief but memorable respite.
