FAQ for Autumn Meadow Park in Port Matilda Pennsylvania:
Great open space neighborhood park with a small playground area for kids. Circular paved loop .25 and .35 mile options for walking/running. Interior is open grass. Small covered pavilion area, two Port-a-potty’s, and trash cans available. There’s also a recycling drop off (sort yourself) a few yards after turning into the entrance.
Nice football field but the play equipment is lacking. What is there is difficult for elementary school kids to use since it’s made almost entirely out of rope. Small slide for preschool age. Larger equipment is mostly used by middle school kids hanging out
It’s definitely not a fancy park, but it is still fairly large and open. It could do with more benches and some other aspects of scenery, but it still deserves a good word for its simplicity. Driving over and seeing the sun set over the trees is beautiful, and makes for some good photo opportunities. Overall, there’s nothing wrong with the park. It is kept clean and tidy, it has a pavilion (if an outdated one), and is one of the recycling drop-off spots around. While there is nothing inherently WRONG with this park, as stated, it could use more seating and scenic items.
This is a very nice park for children involved in sports.
It has a field, swings, a basket ball court, and pavilions. You can practice sports here or you can play with friends. It is also home of the Bulldogs football and Cheer group. (Which is an awesome place to do cheer at!)
