Such a spectacular place to spend an afternoon. One of the jewels of the MDOT roadside parks system.
Absolutely took a chance and stopped at this little road side park on the way to Port Austin and it did not disappoint! Beautiful views of the lake/bay, crystal clear waters and sandy beaches! Found some great rocks for some souvenirs as well as a petoskey stone! Definitely worth a quick stop even if just for a few pictures. I just wish the facilities were a bit nicer.
It was a nice park with access to Lake Huron Beach. Lake was shallow enough to have fun. Not crowded. Enjoyed food with friends at the clean picnic tables.
Such a beautiful little park. Well maintained and clean. Very quiet and relaxing! At least in September. 🙂
Lots of Michigan rocks to look at along the lake shore., ❤️
Great Roadside Park and Beach on Lake Huron.. Large sandy beach for children’s sandcastles , ” flat skipping stones” and shiny colored pebbles for novice collecters. Old time water hand pump for rinsing feet as you come off the beach. Picnic area is wooded and shady with grills and tables. This park has beautiful picturesque sunsets over the lake
