FAQ for Clear Creek State Forest Kennderdell Tract Parking in Polk Pennsylvania:
This trail is a decent hike with some mild gradients. Not hard. The proper trail starts off a side road from the parking. There is what looks like a forest road and trail which starts from the parking, but it cuts through a cabin area, which might be private, and then connects to the other trails. You can get to the overlook from here, or connect to other trails, including the one that goes down near the bridge. You can do primitive camping off trail if you find a good spot, and follow the park’s rules. The overlook is lovely, but I enjoyed the trail coming from the other side, which runs near the creek, better.
A beautiful tract of land with pretty well maintained trails. The few times I’ve been there, there’s not many people at all hiking around. The views of the river from the overlooks are awesome! Trails are on game lands, so take obvious precautions at the right times of the year.

We did the almost 8 mile loop. The Vista is way better than in the pictures. Someone here mentioned the bridges on Dennison run, they’re so much fun! The hike wasn’t particularly challenging.
