This is a great place to park and go for a walk. If you stay in the prairie it’s a mowed path. It also has easy access to a paved bike path.

Beautiful prairie, great hiking and biking trail. Fun maze through the prairie grass. Beautiful anytime of the year. A favorite place for walks and bicycle rides.

GREAT place to walk your dog. I prefer to go on a cloudy day because there’s not a lot of shade along the trails; so if it’s sunny out, the pavement could become too hot for pup paws. Love taking my girl here. It’s also a beautiful place to walk and think. The flower fields and tall grass blowing is like something out of a painting. You won’t be let down.

What a great place to relax! Lots of room for walking so be prepared. Access to the lake but we didn’t find an easy way to get there other than travelling downhill over loose soil. Likely a way but we will be back!

A beautiful prairie preserve in central Iowa! Great bike trails, hiking trails and easy access to Saylorville lake! Surrounded by woods with an interesting hiking system too. A lot of camping nearby.
