Nestled in a scenic, tranquil area, Plymouth Dog Park is a go-to destination for pet lovers seeking a dog-friendly adventure in the heart of Plymouth, MN. This pet-friendly park offers generous open spaces where your dog can run off-leash and explore beautiful, natural surroundings. It’s especially popular among local dog owners for its walking trails, which allow dogs to roam freely within the park’s perimeter, making it ideal for those seeking dog-friendly hiking and outdoor fun.
The park features a separate, fenced-in area specifically for small dogs, ensuring a safe and comfortable space for pets under 20 lbs. There’s agility equipment and dog toys scattered throughout, giving pups plenty of enrichment and exercise opportunities. Pet parents will appreciate the shaded picnic tables, available restrooms, and accessible parking and entrances. The peaceful location makes it a relaxing spot to meet fellow dog lovers, enjoy the scenery, and let your canine companion socialize and play.
Our girl loves it here. She can openly run to her hearts content. There are balls and toys, obstacles for them, and more than enough space. It’s our new favorite place for her.
Such a beautiful area, driven by many times and finally stopped.
We have an 11lb dog and we had to carry her to the small park area. With so many bigger dogs we ran into on the way to the small dog area, they all wanted to play with her but she prefers the small guys and she was very intimidated. Once in the small dog area, there are a few bigger dogs in there too – 40lbs-ish each. They made it tough for our little one to relax and check things out. We left shortly after arriving and probably don’t need to visit there again. The park does not seem to be fully fenced in either, only the small dog area was. It’s a really pretty area though, nice and quiet too.
If your dog is a runner, don’t come here. I was looking forward to a fenced in dog park but when you come in there is nothing stopping your dog from turning around and running out. There is no gate. Once you get inside it’s enclosed but not very secure… not a lot of parking. It’s a good idea in theory but I won’t be back. You take a long boardwalk inside and then there is a small fenced off area for dogs 20 lbs or less.
This is my favorite dog park. The best part is the walking trails within it that allow you to walk your dog off-leash within the perimeter. There’s also a massive open field with some standard dog park obstacle course type items, and a smaller fenced in area for little dogs to play in.
If you want other dogs to be there when you visit, there are always some between 4-6pm and throughout much of the weekend.
This was the first dog park I ever went to and I absolutely loved it! I really appreciated that there was a separate gated area for smaller dogs, which is the one I went in with my pup. There was a shaded picnic table area and dog bowls that we could use for water. There were little equipment pieces and toys too! It was clean and we had a really good time meeting other dog owners and sweet dogs. The best part? The location is just beautiful. Not only was the park lovely but the whole area that surrounded it was pretty. The worst part? I didn’t mind it but the walk from the parking lot to the actual park may be long for some.
