Located in the heart of Plum, Pennsylvania, Boyce Park Dog Park 1 is a spacious, well-maintained destination for dog lovers – and their four-legged companions. The park features four gated pens, including designated areas for both small and large dogs, making it a great place for social pups of all sizes. The dog park provides easy wheelchair accessibility, picnic tables, covered pavilions, and plenty of open space for pets to roam off-leash. Water pumps and waste stations ensure your dog stays happy and the park stays clean, while shaded seating areas make visits comfortable for owners.
What sets Boyce Park Dog Park 1 apart is its welcoming community and commitment to pet friendliness. The park is praised for its friendly atmosphere, with locals noting that both dogs and their humans are respectful and neighborhood-oriented. Cleanup bags, trash bins, and a rotational use of the fenced areas help keep the grounds in great condition year-round. Plus, nearby pet-friendly trails make this a convenient spot for extended adventures in the greater Pittsburgh area.
It’s a beautiful park. But people with aggressive dogs come and allow their animals to attack other dogs and people and then say “well that’s what dogs do”… That is NOT OK… And through some research I’ve found there are multiple owners who frequent here who let their aggressive dogs attack. I wish I could post the video of the dog… And you tell me of you think it should be allowed in
Great dog park. 4 gated pens. Each pair has a pen for small & another for large. They systematically alternate to ensure grass is kept nice. Most dog owners pick-up; while there’s always the irresponsible one that doesn’t; especially when there’s snow on the ground. There is a shelter, well water and picnic table. Well maintained.
By far my favorite dog park. I travel from the city of Pittsburgh by passing other parks just to come to Boyce dog park. Always friendly people and their four legged kids are always great. I’ve came across a ton of people who have adopted a dog as myself. One thing I love most about this park I haven’t come across folks that are “afraid or don’t trust Pitbulls” as a pitbull owner for the last 16years I call these people “racist or judgemental” towards pitbulls. Boyce park has always been friendly kind and open to my dog. Definitely a highly recommended dog park for sure.
The Dog Park is wonderful! We have been taking our puppy, Ellie, for several weeks now, and are so glad that this new dog park opened this year. Generally, the dogs and their owners are nice, and the dogs have a great time together. There is a pavilion and picnic tables spread out throughout the area. Cleanup bags and waste bins are provided. There is also water available. The dog park has both a large and small dog area, so smaller dogs (like ours) can run with dogs her size if she doesn’t feel like a “big dog” on any particular day. People bring some “well loved” toys and leave them in the pavilion area for other dogs to play with as well.
I have yet to have anything bad to say about the new dog park! This was a great investment by Boyce Park!
There are two dog parks side by side with an abundance of room for your friend to roam and explore. The small dog side even has a water pump to make sure your friend doesn’t get too thirsty. There are picnic tables in both parks with the larger one having a covered area. When you are done in the park, there are trails available nearby for more adventures.
