Pleasant Grove Park is a beloved community destination conveniently located at 701-721 5th Ave in Pleasant Grove, Alabama. Spanning acres of green space lined with beautiful, mature trees, this park is ideal for dog owners looking for pet-friendly trails, shaded spots, and plenty of room for outdoor play. Although largely an open field, the park’s natural beauty and abundant shade from the surrounding trees make it perfect for leisurely walks with your canine companion.
The park features paved and well-maintained trails that cater to both walkers and joggers, with plenty of roadside parking for easy access. While Pleasant Grove Park is primarily a multi-use park (with playgrounds, picnic shelters, and wide-open spaces), visitors remark on its dog-friendly atmosphere and the opportunity to meet other pet owners during walks. Please note that while the park is dog-friendly, there is no dedicated fenced dog area.
Shade from the trees, picnic tables near trails, playgrounds for children, and multiple covered shelters make it comfortable for both people and pets. The park’s peaceful scenery, bird watching opportunities, and clean, relaxing environment have helped establish it as a favorite dog walking spot in Pleasant Grove.
Been going to this park since I was a kid. Still great and they are working to improve it.
Love this park. Wish the big tree was still over the play area for shade, but still good spot. Just don’t use the play structure in summer near miday
Nice park. There are lots of swings throughout and in pretty good shaded spots. They do have restrooms a lot of picnic sheltered areas. overall I liked it. It is s a little bit dirty though
There is plenty of available space & so much potential for this park to be amazing & inclusive. The equipment is outdated & there is a lot of room for improvement. I could also see filling in the runoff area to the side as a small pond.
A very nice quiet park at the time my daughter n I went. It was/is a clean park. Swings, slide and such for the kids. I saw Pavilions where it looks like you can host a party.
