Located in the heart of Plainsboro Township, New Jersey, Plainsboro Park is a spacious, pet-friendly community park that welcomes dogs and their owners. This park features a variety of amenities, including a children’s playground with unique play equipment, onsite parking, picnic tables, sports fields (baseball, basketball, tennis, and volleyball), and is easily accessible with wheelchair-friendly entrances and parking lots. The grassy areas make it a comfortable spot for strolls and casual play, providing an inviting atmosphere for dog owners and families alike.
While Plainsboro Park stands out for its easy accessibility and family-friendly vibe, it does not currently have a dedicated fenced-in dog park or off-leash area; dogs are allowed but should remain on leash as there is no separate dog zone. The presence of wide open spaces, shaded picnic spots, and paved paths makes it a pleasant place for dog walking and relaxation. Free, ample parking is available, and the park is adjacent to residential neighborhoods, making it a convenient dog park option in Plainsboro Township, NJ.
Great little park, tennis courts, basketball and path to planisboro path.
Even though the park features a newer looking children’s playground, the overall impression is of a certain neglect.
There is very spacious parking, but the slot lines are barely visible.
The picnic tables look new, but the sports installations are not maintained well. There is an ugly burned out carcass of a grille that the township’s administration doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to remove.
The park is bordered by a row of townhouses on one side.
Tennis court is a good addition to the park.
As noted, the children’s playground with its slides is great and brightly colored, but apart from it, Plainsboro Park needs more work and better maintenance.
Decent playground area with different equipment than you see in many playgrounds. The fields are mostly for sports. I wish there had been more green that didn’t have organized sports going on on a Sunday so we could throw around the football. Parking is ample but it is strange under a few outdated basketball hoops.
Clean, kid-friendly. They need to put lights in the park so kids can play late at night during summer. It would be great if they will expand the park with sections for big kids & little tots.
This is a fantastic place for all of the ages. There is bucket swing for small kids, tennis courts, baseball field, volleyball, basketball. The parking is free, the area is stroller free, no traffic. The ground is soft, it is not plastic or rubber but mulch. Absolutely baby friendly. Come and try out.
