Located in the heart of Plainfield, Illinois, Daisy Dog Park is a welcoming spot for local dog owners seeking a friendly and accessible place for their pups to play. The park is fully fenced and wheelchair accessible, with its own parking lot off 135th Street – be sure to use this lot instead of relying solely on GPS directions. Regular visitors praise the tight-knit community feel, where both new and seasoned park-goers are warmly welcomed and dogs of all sizes and breeds play together harmoniously.
Daisy Dog Park features several shaded areas and benches for owners to relax while their dogs enjoy off-leash fun in a single, combined dog area. While the park does not offer separate enclosures for small and large dogs, attentive owners help foster a safe, inclusive environment. Amenities include a poop bag station, trash bin, and seating, but visitors are encouraged to bring their own water as there is no water fountain on site. The park is free or requires a membership, so be sure to check local signage or contact Plainfield authorities for details. With easy access, dog-friendly atmosphere, and local charm, Daisy Dog Park is a community favorite for pet owners looking for a safe and enjoyable place for their dogs to play.
Beautiful area…unfortunately, there is a fee for the dog park. We had to leave
I refute the commentary that indicates the park is free…the sign says you must have a membership. Please provide more details so that we, as residents may enjoy this and/or other locations. Thank you.
Overly excited to have found this park! It’s a five minute drive away from home. No one else was out here the day I came out with my dog. Be sure to bring water as there are no water fountains. I was grateful that someone left a small water bowl for owners to use. Additionally, there is a poo bag station and garbage bin by the entrance. However, I did notice two separate droppings of poo as I was walking around the park . There are a few sitting areas for owners throughout the park. Lastly, there is a parking lot with 12 parking spots, which include one handicap spot. I will definitely bring my doggy back here!
Google maps warning to newcomers: my Google directions took me to the subdivision north of the park and we had to walk through the field about 2 blocks to get to the park. The entrance to the dog park has its own parking lot along 135th street, so ignore your Google directions. This is a very nice park and the people and dogs there are regulars. The humans know all the dogs by name and personality. Mine was the smallest, being a small breed plus a puppy and the rest of the dogs were big: labs, shepherds, doberman, doodles, and 1 small schnauzer, but all the dogs were super nice and their owners were very kind to us “newbies” and watchful of their pets. The only downside to this dog park is that there is only 1 area for all dogs, not a small dog area, but it all worked fine since the owners and dogs were so nice. And my little dog was running and playing with them all within 10 minutes of getting to know them. This will be a regular treat spot for my pup.
Nice park. Several shaded areas and benches to sit. People there were nice and the dogs were well behaved. My dog had fun playing with the others.
We live within walking distance of the park. Love the fact that it is free. We will go from time to time.
The park is great for the most part. The main issue is the grass. It would be helpful if dumb owners didn’t come right after it rains and allow their dogs to destroy the turf. Can’t fix stupid. What would be nice is if there were 2 sections of the park. They can alternate which side is open. This would allow the closed side of the park to regrow turf and heal. They have plenty of land and we pay our fair share of taxes.
