I visited Folsom Lake a while ago and had a great experience! I swam in the cold, refreshing water, which was perfect for a hot day. One of the best playgrounds near downtown placerville, there is some decent equipment and a very nice shaded grass area. Doesn’t usually have a lot of kids, but we’ve run into a some a few times. It’s shared in the morning and late afternoon. Hope to see you there.
Sleepy park and lake is a bit dirty. Nonetheless, it’s a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. You can fish here too, it’s stocked once a year for a kids tournament.
Lumsden Park is a small playground located in a quiet neighborhood, surrounded by trees and fresh air. There’s no restroom, but there are a couple of picnic tables (without grills). One unique feature of this park is the nearby lake — we saw kids coming specifically to fish there, which seems like a fun and engaging activity for them.
This place looks very nice because there really isn’t any other large body of water around . but the 15 bucks to park is expensive. The cheapest yearly pass is about 125. Kinda expensive too . I knocked off two stars for the price and also. Because of a few things. signs clearly state No dogs on the beach. But there’s plenty of people that disregard the sign. Also broken glass on the beach. You should not take your shoes off.The path to walk is nice. But also to many people . These a lot of bike riders that go off in the dirt path. So it’s annoying to have to nice cause of the narrow path.I want to check a different part of the lake, but this one isn’t worth it
This is a very small park with no bathroom facilities, a couple picnic tables and just enough room to take your dog out for a nice walk around the lake on the walking trails that encircle the lake. This small park does see a lot of traffic during the afternoon hours Monday thru Friday while it remains fairly quiet all day long on Saturday and Sunday. You can fish in this lake if you would like to, a good starting point for the new fisherman in your family. There is a small playground and jungle gym as well at the entrance of the park. Mosquitos will also show you much love at this park and remind you just how close you still are to Mosquito Road. This park is open from sunrise to sunset.
Old duck poo pond is what we used to call it. They’ve put in a nice play structure and the meadow picnic area is kept nice and clean. It’s really quite beautiful in wet weather. These pics are from a sprinkly morning. The waterfall and creek are dry in warm weather.
