Dog Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Located at 330 Franklin Ave in Pittsburgh, this semi-private dog park offers a convenient off-leash space for local pups and their owners. Fully fenced and covered in mulch, the park provides plenty of room for energetic dogs to let off steam. Chairs and benches are available for owners to relax and supervise while their dogs play. The area is regularly maintained by dedicated community members who bring mulch, water, and extra poop bags, providing a welcoming but closely monitored environment.

Although there’s no grassy surface—it’s mostly dirt and mulch—the park is well-kept, and dogs are free to roam and enjoy toys that are often left behind by visitors. Registration is requested for new users, though enforcement is minimal. Please note that water is sometimes sourced from a rainwater collection system and may not always be clean, so bringing your own fresh water is highly recommended. If you’re searching for a fenced, dog-friendly park in Pittsburgh, this spot provides a friendly (albeit sometimes tightly knit) community for dogs and their owners.

Nice little mulched in area for them to run. The problem is the water bowls are fed with a hose from a rainwater collection container. The water was dark brown and rancid and my pup had drank a good bit of it before I checked. Hoping she is not going to get sick.

Fenced area that is about 30 yards long and 10 yards wide. All dirt. No grass. Chairs and benches to sit on. Would be nice if there was grass.

My son’s dog is a bit of a wild beast and the park was big enough to let his energy dissipate safely. All of the other humans controlled their dogs so that the dogs didn’t mutiny and take over the world and mankind!!!
