1.6 mile round trip steady climb to a wonderful view of Piseco lake and surrounding area! Plenty of space at the overlook, very few people on the trail Monday 7/25/21 at 5pm. We saw less than 10 people total.

Amazing hike! Nothing but roots and rocks so where good shoes. It is definitely a moderate hike. But if middle-aged potato like me can do it, so can you! The view at the top makes all sweating and muscle soreness worth it! Trust me!

I absolutely love this hike!!
It’s 0.8 miles with a 700 foot elevation gain. The view is worth it. As someone who hikes occasionally, it definitely isn’t the easiest hike but it’s so short that really anyone could do it if you take breaks on the way up.

I’ve gone 3 times now, and twice has been the morning after a night of rain. The trail wasn’t flooded, and was still very nice. Definitely would not recommend in active rain as the rocks would be very slippery. The rocks are so much fun when not wet. The decent is very easy, but definitely harsh if you have weaker knees. Again going slowly I think it is a very easy hike.

Due to it being easier, especially for the view, it is a very popular hike. Plenty of room on the top that even with other groups it isn’t crowded.

Personally I like to pack a sandwich and hike up to eat lunch. Up is about 30-40 minutes, and down is 20-30 for moderately fit individuals.

Starts off easy but then gave my legs a good workout! It’s definitely worth the view at the top – even on a cloudy day!
