Very overgrown trail went for a run but ended up running on the gravel road farther down to an ATV trail that wasn’t overgrown.

Good mud holes for wheelin. Yet to see much for wildlife to hunt.

Take a right for wheeling, left is hiking only.

Let me tell you about the Blueberry Bog Trail. We chose it because it had no reviews and no photos and a very cool name, which obviously meant we had to check it out. When we got there, there were no maps in the map box, so we were on our own. First tip: make a note of your parking, so that you can wander back to the car when you’re tired out. Second tip: wear waterproof shoes. Or else, be prepared to take shoes and socks off and wade through parts of it, which is what we did. The trail is, as we guessed from lack of reviews and no pics, not very popular and as a result is not maintained. Many, many parts are flooded and the entire thing is overgrown. The result of which is … TICKS. LOTS OF THEM. we stopped about every two yards or so to pick them off of each other and when we got back to the car stripped down and picked them off our clothes. Tip three: bug spray and a pocket knife to scrape ticks off of you. The views are mediocre – or maybe we just didn’t get to the good parts.

We ended up turning around at #4 because of a huge flooded part that we couldn’t see the end of. At that point we were sweaty and covered in bugs so we decided to just go back, since we didn’t know how long we’d have to go off-trail for to keep from getting soaked. Not an enjoyable hike, but still a cool name for a trail.
