If you’re searching for an outdoor dog park in Pine Grove, Pennsylvania, Weiser State Forest offers expansive, pet-friendly trails that both you and your pup will love. Known for its beautiful forestry and stunning views along the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, this state forest is perfect for dog-friendly hiking adventures. Locals rave about access straight from their backyard, vast trails, and year-round natural beauty, making it a prime destination for dog owners in the area.
Weiser State Forest isn’t a traditional fenced dog park, but rather a large, scenic space with miles of trails ideal for hiking with your dog on-leash. Along the way, you’ll experience breathtaking vistas, especially in the fall, and plenty of wooded areas for shade. The forest is highly recommended by visitors for dogs that enjoy exploring nature with their humans, and the trails are also open for biking, equestrian rides, and camping.
Have attended a few endurance rides here-the trails are gorgeous and the views spectacular. Will be camping at the Equestrian Campground for the first time soon and am really looking forward to it!

Having access to this area from our backyard is absolutely wonderful. Our dogs enjoy exploring just as much as we do. The bike trails are also a very nice draw! Highly recommend!

My son and I traveled from route 183 to route 501 (about 13 miles) on the Appalachian trail, this is mainly the Weiser State Forest. We hiked this in the fall and was able to take in some great views from some of the lookouts.
