Really cool hike with amazing views. There is a sizable gravel parking lot and there was a port-a-pottie at the entrance. You go uphill but it’s not terrible. The first part of the hike is pretty well shaded. When you get to the top, there are really cool views of the valleys and rivers below. I read reviews about needing to be careful of rattlesnakes so keep that in mind (though we did not encounter any). Definitely check for ticks after the walk before getting in the care and bring repellent. Dogs are allowed on a leash. Will definitely be coming back to do this hike again.

Watch out for rattlesnakes. Multiple streams to cross. Great views at the top of the Chapparal trail, which I recommend. You can also go to Cronan’s ranch from here. One of the best places to hike and bike in the area. Beware of the heat in the summer though.

This is a great trail for hiking, horsing, and mountain biking, amazing views right from the start, not any steep hiking required, very moderate. Saw some cattle grazing the area, ends at a large beach perfect place for a picnic

This is a trail that walks with a dog at least once every two weeks, and it’s a natural trail that walks along the mountain path along the river.First of all, it’s a course with a lot of stones on the red soil road, and it’s hard to wear running shoes, so I recommend wearing tracking shoes at least, and I think boots that cover your ankles would be good. It’s an intermediate level, and there’s a course that needs some around at the beginning, so you have to be careful. There are many people who ride bikes on weekends, so if you’re going to walk without your dog’s leash, you need to be a little careful.

Great mountain bike trail. The trail is bit technical and lots of rocks. Be careful while biking on the rocks as it can be dangerous. Overall loved the trail and place.

I went there to do a little mountain biking. Great trail. Maybe not for the beginner mtb’r though.

Love this trail. Good place to park to hit a trail head for hiking or mountain biking. Nice winding trail to hike. Easier than the trailhead in the Skunk Hollow lot across the street.
