Located just off Ferry Rd in Piermont, NY, the Piermont Community Dog Run offers a well-maintained, fenced space for furry friends to play and socialize. Set against a beautiful backdrop with picturesque views, this dog park is close to pet-friendly trails and dog-friendly hiking opportunities, making it a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. Owners can relax as their dogs enjoy separate areas for large and small breeds, providing a safe and enjoyable environment for pets of all sizes.
While the park is celebrated for its scenic setting and well-kept grounds, recent visitors have noted the presence of ticks, especially during the summer months. It’s recommended that owners check their pets thoroughly before leaving the park and use tick prevention measures while enjoying this community gem. The park’s beautiful open space, coupled with easy access and pet-friendly amenities, make it a go-to dog park in Piermont, New York for outdoor enthusiasts and their four-legged companions.
Dog run is nice but both dogs covered in ticks including many nymphs when we left. Without exaggeration, dogs must have had 70-80 ticks on each of them and days later, despite flea/tick protection and vigilance, found one engorged on my dog. I’ve never seen so many ticks. Another reviewer mentioned this too, last year. I would steer clear- it’s not worth it. For reference, we visited in mid June.
A spectacular view to spend a beautiful day
We loved this park but today after visiting with friends found all dogs covered in tiny ticks! We took out at least 20-30 ticks off per dog so be careful!
