Linda Ave Dog Park is a beloved local off-leash dog park nestled in the heart of Piedmont, California. This moderate-sized park is well-known for its convenient location on Linda Avenue, offering both neighbors and visitors an easy way to socialize their dogs and meet fellow dog lovers. The park sits on a fairly steep hill, providing an energetic workout for dogs who love to run and play in a unique environment. While it consists mostly of dirt, it offers a true community feel that many locals appreciate.
The park features shaded seating areas and benches for owners who want to relax while their dogs play, along with water access to keep pups hydrated. Street parking and a nearby lot make visits hassle-free, and paved paths and stairs help navigate the hilly terrain. While it’s best to avoid after rain due to dirt and possible mud, regular quick visits by a diverse group of dogs keep the park lively and social. If you’re seeking a pet-friendly trail, off-leash play spot, or a way to connect with Piedmont’s community spirit, Linda Ave Dog Park stands out as a true neighborhood gem!
This is a great little community dog park that’s close by. When time is scarce which it so often is it’s nice not to have to drive to get the dog some social interaction. I’ve gotten to know many neighbors this way. This little park fosters a sense of community spirit and brings down the stress level of dogs and their owners. Please save Linda dog park! For whatever strange reason the city has been trying to close this park for a while, booo hissss :/
Closed a lot, gates do get locked. Mostly on a hill with a lot of dirt. Don’t go here during or after rain, unless you are ready to give your fluff a huge bath. Really kind and nice people who are usually social. I use the back section on the hill sometimes after hours when they lock the main section to let the dogs play a little off leash at night, very safe but there are no fences if your fluffy friend likes to run away (in the back).
Linda Ave dog park is a moderate sized off leash dog park in the Piedmont area of Oakland. There’s Street parking as well as a parking lot adjacent to the upper area entrance. This park is on a fairly steep hill, however, there are stairs and sidewalks joining the street side entrance with the upper parking area/entrance. There are benches and other seating with plenty of both shade and sun. The hill really gives the dogs a great workout and water is available, but no bathrooms.
Another fly dog park. Out of sight. This pup copper was out here and was classing the place up hard. Very cool. Ruff ruff and away!
Convenience for me is the best thing about this park, but it’s dirt Hill so your dog gets dirty easily and you have to go down a hill to recover all the tennis balls your pooch fails to return. Not bad as far as cleanliness but it’s a dog park so expect some dog pooh scattered about. Lots of different dogs and owners come here and they rotate pretty quickly in and out.
