HooDat DonDar

Community park. Named for Sidney Dearing, head of what was then the only black family in Piedmont. They were driven out of their home by a mob in 1924. The home is across the street, 67 Wildwood Ave.

A later generation created and named this park after him, as a sign that times have changed.
