Reviews
This trailhead is an excellent place to get outside, with the kids, with the dogs, with a bike, or even by yourself, for a nice long run. The trail here is fully paved in both directions and it’s very easy to connect between the Perkiomen Trail, the SRT, and the Autobahn Loop.
I like yo come out here from the city because even when the weather is really nice, it’s less crowded than other parts of the SRT that are a little closer to Philadelphia. There are also restrooms at this trailhead, and at the Autobahn visitor’s center and Tow Path entrance so there’s plenty of spots to stop and refill your water bottles and take bathroom breaks.
Great place to go see the 300 year old tree and access to all 4 trails. It has great access to the Audubon and Schuylkill trails. Including the river trail.
My wife & I love this trail. It’s wide, flat, & well-paved. The scenery along the river is nice. The only issue was a brief stretch of bad smell when we passed the sewage treatment plant.
This is one of my favorite trailheads. You can head onto the Audubon Loop Trail from here or get on the Schuylkill River Trail and Perkiomen Trails. Great place to run, walk and bike with lots of shaded areas.
Convenient parking with enough space for our pickup. I love this tree-lined trail. We bicycled all the way around the Valley Forge Park, but it was the beautifully verdant Schuylkill River Trail that stands out in my memory. Be sure to follow the trail away from the highway to enjoy peace and solitude along the upper river.
