The Schuylkill River Trail – Cromby Trailhead is a popular starting point for outdoor enthusiasts and their canine companions in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania. Known for its pet-friendly, fully paved trails, this spot offers easy access to scenic hikes, bike rides, and walks along the Schuylkill River Trail. The trailhead is wheelchair accessible, features a spacious parking lot, and provides essential amenities such as a maintained porta-potty restroom and a couple of benches for resting.
Dogs are welcome on all trails, making this a fantastic location for dog-friendly hiking or a casual stroll. With gentle, level paths heading west and a more challenging hill to the east, there’s something for every adventurer. While there is not a traditional fenced dog park, the area is great for on-leash outings with your pup, offering beautiful views and a clean environment for all visitors.
Great trailhead access for the SRT with a single well maintained porta-potty.
Nice lot to head west on a fairly level ride. Nice steep hill if you head east before going down into Phoenixville.
Goog place to start a ride if heading toward Pottstown. Has port-a-potty. One bench. No picnic area. Just a parking lot.
This is the destination for my Trek endeavors. It’s a nice big parking lot. Clean porto-pot!
Beautiful spot to get on the SRT and go for a ride, whether west towards Royersford & Pottstown or east towards Valley Forge. (There’s a big hill to the east, though. 😉 ) The trail is now fully paved and there’s no need to get on the road till you get all the way till Pottstown. As others have mentioned, there’s a portapotty for emergencies and a couple of benches for having a rest.
