This shows up for me as Pickering creek reserve but it was actually the YMCA where I visited. Amazing facility, friendly people, well maintained and something for everyone. My only complaint is at myself for not finding it sooner.

Great place for a hike or a canoe. I’ve never experienced over crowding. A very beautiful place with a ton of history.

Went in and stood at the bar n got ignored by the bartender who was texting on his phone. He looked up and saw me and asked how the other customers were doing. Those customers had already been served. He then looked at me (again) and went right back on his phone. I brought my mother in, it was her first time being in that bar in twenty years. She lives in Cali. We were meeting a group of 15 people. So we left and went to the Bistro. Our food n alcohol bill ended up around NULL. Pickering In they lost out. That rude bartender who left me standing at the bar for almost ten minutes, well I hope that text was worth it.

Love this place! Trails are abundant, well marked and cover a wide variety of terrain and habitats. I love to do a trail run, take the kids for a nature walk, or just find a few quiet spots to be still, bird-watch or contemplate.

It’s the YMCA and it’s huge, clean and has very friendly staff. 2 indoor pools, sauna, hot tub, steam room, free weights, modern cardio equipment, yoga class, spinning class, basketball courts, plus much more than I can remember or don’t even know about yet. Very awesome place. Plus if you have Keystone First insurance you can get a free membership.
