The River Trail is 3 miles long and parallels the Schuylkill River. This is a very pleasant mostly shaded walk from Betzwood PA. To Pawlings road. The trail is crushed stone and dirt ,no hills. Bikes OK, plenty of parking on eather end

I walked the river trail in valley forge national park. It is a one way rock path that runs alongside the water. It’s shades and breezy. The parking lot is limited and on dirt so today was muddy but not too bad. I’ll bring my bike next time I visit and explore further.

We love this trail. It’s very friendly but no paved path. Good for hiking, running or biking. Goes along the river, and it’s surrounded by trees. Good for hot and sunny days. If you bring your pet, be aware there are tons of ticks.
