Palmer Doggie Depot is a community-run dog park located in the heart of Philadelphia, PA, at 37 E Palmer St. This city dog park is a popular gathering spot for local dogs and their owners, emphasizing a welcoming vibe and plenty of opportunities for pups to socialize in a secure, off-leash environment. Was there for the first time Wednesday. So sorry to say it was not what I expected to see based on the reviews I read before going. No grass at all, overflowing trash cans and uneven walking surface. Happy i brought dog waste bags because they were none there and it showed. It was like an accident looking to happen. Meet a few nice dogs but no friendly people. Sorry to give an unhappy review. 🙁

Great vibe, it’s a volunteer, community run dog park. Not city owned or operated so be sure to follow their IG for events and ways to help out. Some of our best friends have been made at this park!! Fresh running water, shade isn’t great so plan accordingly, cobblestone is an issue for older dogs but it’s in progress to get renovated. Overall a wonderful community resource!

We only go here because of its close to our house. The park has cobble stone throughout with patches on dirt. In my opinion it’s not exactly well kept but I guess it does it’s job if you live nearby.

I would like to see more grass at this park. I think it would change the rundown appearance it currently had. Also if they should remove the cobble stone since it’s not very good on dogs paws/nails.

My dog liked running around and sniffing. Not much grass at all so he will need a quick bath so he feet get clean. I do like how the gate is maintained and double locked, as well as fresh water available from a spicket. Few spots to sit, no shade offered if pets need a cool down.
