🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Orianna Hill Park is a beloved off-leash dog park located in the heart of Philadelphia, PA. This well-maintained, community-supported park stands out for its clean grounds, friendly atmosphere, and ample amenities for dogs and their owners. With double-gated entrances, a separate small dog area, and plenty of toys scattered throughout, it’s the perfect local destination for city pups to safely socialize and play.
Dog owners appreciate the park’s fresh water supply, numerous seating areas, and the overall spacious environment. The park’s design ensures plenty of playtime for four-legged friends, and the presence of shaded areas makes it a comfortable outing in any season. Whether you’re seeking scenic photo ops or a relaxing escape within the city, Orianna Hill Park provides a true neighborhood gem for pet lovers.
Facility itself is great. It’s well maintained, has fresh water for the dogs, has two gated entrances and exits, a section for smaller dogs that can be closed off to bigger dogs, and has various toys for the dogs to play with. If I were just rating the facility, it would be 5/5.
If I had to rate how responsible the dog owners who attend this park, it would receive a generous 2/5. I’ve completely stopped bringing my dog to this dog park due to the lack of awareness, lack of monitoring, and lack of control other dog parents display over their dogs. Numerous times, my dog and I have had to leave because a reckless owner brings an aggressive dog into the park. Whether its resource guarding or in general growling aggressively at other dogs, some of these dog owners have no business bringing their animals here and yet, they just keep coming. Extremely frustrating because there are great dog owners that are diligent, involved, and have well trained dogs. A few ruin it for everyone though.
Best dang off leash dog park I’ve ever been to, but that’s really only 1 so 🙂 but everyone else tells me it is the best in the city And the dogdog certainly loves it.
Great dog park with many toys, ample water, and a good amount of space. Entrance has a closed off section before entering the park at large which is handy to prep your pup. Benches are available for people in several areas in the park.
If coming after 5 on weekdays prepared for lots of dogs. Owners are generally on top of their dogs as necessary. Wouldn’t recommend young pups come at these busier times as they will get swarmed dog big dogs. There is a small closed off area near entrance to segregate your dog if needed.

Super cute place. Lots of toys around every time we go. Clearly well maintained by the community. There’s an old bakery on the corner, and possibly others, that make for lovely fresh bread smells. Park across the street has some short paths lined with surprisingly pungent flowers—the way flowers should smell! Feels like a treat for the pooch and for me every time we go ^-^
