We love taking our dog here. The park is very clean and well taken care of. The fact that it’s membership-only requires dogs to be vaccinated, neutered, and helps keep dogs safe. Definitely worth joining if you live in the area!

A bunch of pretentious **@*%# people go here. I arrived to the dog park unaware of it entry rules. I am a visitor to the “city of brotherly love” driving up north from Florida. The green street area is far from brotherly love BUT THE OPPOSITE. when I arrived at the gate a lady quickly closed behind me. I noticed a key fob system setup to allow you into the green street dog park. Never NEVER!, have I seen such a thing. I have traveled to many dog park and my dog is with me every day every hour. I haven’t reported on all the dog parks that I’ve been to. But this place has to be the worst. The people in the dog park look at you and don’t say a thing. The thoughts that have gone through their mind, as I heard one woman comment to the woman that just entered before I arrived told her, “you did the right thing”. As I pondered what my next step. I walked around the block. Read up on the web site and and couldn’t find anything about this dog park being entirely funded by membership fee. Yes there is a membership fee. If I lived in Philly I would get the lawyers involved, civil right advocates. Red lining protest. ….so if anyone who reads this in philly. Get your collaboration together. I don’t believe that this is altogether a privately owned piece of land. And certainly some government money went into this dog park. And their website doesn’t support that it is entirely funded by membership fees.

No reason for a private dog park in one of the highest income zip codes in Philly. City gov’t continues to underfund our parks. But NIMBYs are everywhere. Be a welcoming community and let your neighbors with dogs in, Jesus Christ.

More about the members than the park itself. I walked past today excited to take my small boston, and there was just one middle aged lady with her large dog. I thought she wouldn’t mind us going to the other side off the empty park and she promptly closed the door behind her and pretended she didn’t see us.

I would totally understand if there were other people, if it was somehow unsafe or if she could treat me like a human and explain it’s dues paying.

I would pay, but I just moved one street over and literally have never seen anything like this in any city I’ve lived in, but not interested with people like that.

We have been members at the park for a few years and love it. It’s clean and well maintained by people that care about the dogs and park.

The membership keeps bad dog owners out and ensures a safe and fun environment for the dogs.

The cost of membership is reasonable and you get exceptional value for what you pay.

Additionally, the members have created a kind and welcoming community.
