Bayfront Park is a beautiful lakefront park located in the heart of Petoskey, Michigan. This waterfront destination is perfect for families and dog owners, with stunning bay views, grassy areas, paved trails, and a variety of amenities. Whether you want to enjoy pet-friendly trails, a relaxing walk by the water, or quality time with your furry companion, Bayfront Park offers plenty of open space, picnic tables, and walking paths for everyone.
Dog owners will appreciate that pets are welcome throughout the park on a 6-foot leash, and are expected to pick up after their dogs. Waste bag dispensers and trash cans are provided for convenience. With wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, a playground, barbecue grills, kid-friendly hiking, and public restrooms (seasonal), Bayfront Park is a pet-friendly hub in Petoskey. Its location near downtown shops, scenic waterfall, and kid-fishing pond make it a unique destination for all ages.
Nice open area ,with paved walking trails, great bay views, a small pond for kid fishing only. There were a couple of guys fishing off the dock. I don’t know if that would work in boating season. There is a launch, I believe I saw something about slip rental, not for sure. There are restrooms, they are closed for the season as of our visit 10/27/24. There is an overview, and we stopped, then realized we could get the lake front. All in, it was a nice visit.
Great park. Clean restrooms, nice area to walk and stretch the legs. Close to downtown shops.
Beautiful park in Petoskey area. Pets are welcome on a 6 foot leash on the grassy areas, provided you pick up after them (baggies and trash cans available). Beautiful views of the water and the lighthouse, playground area, sidewalk, nearby marina. Highly recommend.
Beautiful waterfall, scenic area with a bridge and overlook area. You can see the bridge from this spot, it’s gorgeous.
Definitely a favorite park to stop at and relax by the beach, they have have a man made waterfall, however since that area of Michigan does have natural rock and cliffs, makes it feel way different than petosky! Go to the beach and find some stones too.
