Notably, Hornady Park is wheelchair accessible, making it inclusive for all visitors. The park features amenities such as picnic tables, public restrooms, an updated playground, and even a free splash pad, ensuring fun for both people and pets alike.

Whether you’re in town for a dog walk, a picnic, or bringing your kids to the playground, Hornady Park provides a clean, patrolled, and safe environment. Its large layout guarantees that even on busy days, there’s plenty of space for everyone to enjoy.
Went to the splash park they have for everyone on a very hot day, so many different people were there as well. I am very thankful that it is a free area for people to come to with their families or alone to cool down.
Honestly, they need a better restroom/changing room that is in with their splash park area.
The bathroom/changing area was somewhat gross and some of the stuff inside that area didn’t work and only 1 person at a time could go into it. They ( whoever is over this park) need to add more tables with umbrellas on them or misters( things that spray out cold water for people so they don’t pass out) and more areas to give some shade for people on a hot day.
Parking needs worked on as well. With so many people trying to beat this heat or do something with their children parking will need to be a bit more. Also, they have a really bad wasp problem near the bathroom/changing area.
Plus sides to this park- it is ✨️FREE✨️ and donations help keep this park going (I think, honestly I am not sure so please don’t quote me), it is wheelchair accessible, the splash park has many different areas or things in it that will splash out water at you, there are other park playgrounds in the park and that this Hornady Park is for everyone.
Very nice! There are historical remnants on site tennis courts/pickleball as well as a community pool. This area is clean and full of nature for an inner city park.
Love this park. It is enormous and even on a crowded day it doesn’t feel like it because there’s many “sections” to it. It’s always clean. Personally my favorite aspect is the free Splash pad located near the entrance/exit. They recently updated the playground and it looks fun, haven’t check it out yet. We camp in the area occasionally, and definitely take use in the upkept bathroom that uses the good toilet paper, 5 stars just for that lol. We love attending the free carnival rides held here every year, sorry forget the specific event. We also travel to the area during Christmas time to look at the lights and give a donation. We haven’t stopped for it but love they offer, I think, Mrs. Clause reading at one of the cabins.
Always a great experience! Patrolled by local people. Safe. Clean. Beautiful! A terrific example of a perfectly working park!
This park turned a full circle after the tornado a couple of years ago. It was always nice, but with the new amenities, awesome.
