Hidden 3/4 mile, broad wooded path alongside creek. Parking area at Federal Street end, or just start on Main Street. Easy walk from downtown Perry to trailhead by walking up Lake Street and then left onto S Federal Street. Those looking for a longer walk or bike ride could then continue on to Silver Lake, on a newly created bike path along Walker Road to the newly renovated Village Beach (seasonal toilet facilities, swimming, dock, waterfront, green space, play space, bench/picnic). From there you can double back, or there are lots of walking options: to the Silver Lake Institute a few blocks south (don’t miss Lakeside Avenue and make sure to go up and down Fillmore Avenue and a few others, beautiful Eastlake Victorian cottages huddled close together), and if you want a reward, a few more blocks south on Perry Avenue, then left on Chapman Ave to the Charcoal Corral for ice cream. Community continues to improve the trail, the beach, and connectivity between all points.
