Indian Creek Beach is a popular spot near Perry, MO, known for its scenic lakefront, making it an excellent destination for dog owners seeking a pet-friendly day outdoors. This accessible beach area welcomes both families and four-legged visitors, offering a relaxed atmosphere for picnics, swimming, and lakeside fun. If you’re seeking a dog park in Perry, Missouri, that features dog-friendly hiking and swimming, Indian Creek Beach is the perfect spot to explore.
The park features picnic tables, easy access from a wheelchair accessible entrance, and plenty of parking close to the boat launch. While there is a bit of a hike down a steep, loose gravel path, pet owners on the lookout for dog-friendly trails and swimming spots will enjoy the clean, spacious sands. The beach is best enjoyed in the early mornings or during weekdays when it’s less crowded—perfect for dogs that prefer a quieter space to play and swim.
If you get there early morning or during the week before anyone else gets there it’s awesome. Big beach in a wake free cove is a great time. We like having the whole place to ourselves where our kids can go play but a bit before lunch time it gets crazy. Seems like everyone on the lake flocks to this beach around noon. Almost impossible to maneuver a boat around the mess of boats tied together all over the cove. The beach gets crammed full of people and is hard to relax with so many people partying.
Beach was nice a clean, but it’s a hike, especially if you have kids and all their stuff in tow. The path (a closed off road) down to the beach is loose gravel and steep. It’d be nice if they opened the gate with a loading and drop off area at the bottom (there’s plenty of room and appears this used to be a thing).
Great little beach to take the kiddos to play in the sand and waves. Only drawback, nowhere (that I felt safe) to pull your boat up to the sandbar. So we elected to anchor out, and swim to shore.
This spot is a day use area, and had great parking by the boat launch, and easy access to the beach. The woman working the front gate was very friendly and helpful in getting us to where we were looking to go.
There was virtually no litter in the area, and my dog and I had a great time hanging out by the water swimming and playing with the sticks.
Super nice beach area. Has an accessible ramp to the water. Clean and not crowded when we went over memorial weekend.
