Though it was a windy cold day we found this little gem, had fun walking the trails

Nice little park. The loop is about half a mile. More exact from where I parked it was 0.53 mi. Minor slopes. It appears as though work is being done to add an additional loop on the other side of the trees. Pretty quiet, some vehicle noise from nearby road.

How sweet to run across this! Bob Wayland was our neighbor when I was growing up – he was ‘Uncle Bob’ to my siblings and me. I’m glad to learn he was so admired in the community and if I ever revisit the area I will be sure to stop by this little park and pay my respects. He owned a lovely farm just down the way on Swamp Creek Road. I’ll bet the whole place is very much changed from the 60’s and 70’s when I knew him and his wonderful wife.
