One of the best parts around for a peaceful walk with your dog. Well maintained and spacious.
How sweet to run across this! Bob Wayland was our neighbor when I was growing up – he was ‘Uncle Bob’ to my siblings and me. I’m glad to learn he was so admired in the community and if I ever revisit the area I will be sure to stop by this little park and pay my respects. He owned a lovely farm just down the way on Swamp Creek Road. I’ll bet the whole place is very much changed from the 60’s and 70’s when I knew him and his wonderful wife.
Nice little park. The loop is about half a mile. More exact from where I parked it was 0.53 mi. Minor slopes. It appears as though work is being done to add an additional loop on the other side of the trees. Pretty quiet, some vehicle noise from nearby road.
Though it was a windy cold day we found this little gem, had fun walking the trails
Great little park for a peaceful walk!
This small park is a hidden gem with a few nice trails that are perfect for a relaxing stroll or walking your dog. The paths are well-maintained, and there are plenty of trees providing shade, making it a great spot even on warmer days. There are also picnic tables scattered throughout, so it’s a great place to sit and enjoy a meal or just take in the surroundings.
It’s never too crowded, which makes it feel even more peaceful. If you’re looking for a quiet spot to unwind, get some fresh air, or take your pup for a walk, this park is definitely worth visiting!
