I love hiking here. That being said the parking lot is currently closed. There are no no parking signs on the right side of the road. And your next to a cornfield on that side of the road. I parked there behind another vehicle. When I came back my car’s windows had no parking written on them. Apparently there’s a passive aggressive home owner which has to much time on their hands and is dishing out vigilante justice.

On a more serious note I was swarmed by yellow jackets twice on this hike. They stung me about 10 times. Be careful around the paw paw trees. Both times were in patches of them.

Have a safe hike!

I love this spot. It’s a short walk through the woods to get to house rock overlook. The view is great, and it’s not as packed as a lot of other “scenic areas” around. The parking is also great and they have a portapotty as well for convenience. Definitely 5 stars (great for picnics)

Spacious parking area with semi difficult trails that lead to wonderful views. Great for anyone wanting a good cardio workout with various inclines and rocks to climb.
