Located in Peoria, Arizona, Pioneer Community Park: Dog Park stands out as a local favorite for dog owners seeking a safe and accommodating pet-friendly place to play. The park features multiple, spacious fenced-in yards for dogs, offering dedicated areas for small and large breeds. Recent renovations have updated the facilities, and dog owners can appreciate amenities such as well-marked dual entry gates for security, shaded seating areas, easily accessible parking, and water fountains for both dogs and their humans. While the grass space in the yards has decreased, leaving more dirt and dust, the park remains popular due to its convenient location and layout that prevents burs and stickers in dogs’ fur.
Pioneer Community Park goes beyond its dog amenities, making it ideal for family outings. The larger park includes a playground with water pads, splash pads, baseball fields, picnic tables, barbecue grills, and accessible public restrooms. It is also wheelchair accessible, making it one of the most inclusive dog parks in the region. Whether you’re seeking dog-friendly walking areas, a secure place for pets to play off-leash, or a community hub for both canine and human family members, this Peoria destination is worth a visit.
I’ve been coming here for about 5 years and overall its a nice dog park. 3 good sized yards that get rotated, with one big dog and one small dog yard going. There’s a good amount of shade and seating, dog friendly water fountains, easy parking, grass, good lighting at night. This park just got renovated about a month ago and I was really looking forward to seeing it get a little TLC and glowup. Honestly its a bit of a letdown. They made the grassy area in each yard smaller, so there more dirt and dust. Plus the grass either didnt get reseeded or it didnt get done properly or something. It looks like ground cover type weeds, not actual grass. There’s even more pitting now so its hard to run with your dogs or you risk an ankle injury. They also removed some of the waste stations in each yard which will make it even less likely that people will pick up after their pets. Still a decent park and near my house so I’ll keep coming because there really isn’t a better alternative but I’m just really bummed the month long renivation didn’t really make anything better.
Huge playfield and I love the setup they have At the front of the dog park very secure for your dogs. Water fountains are located inside each play area and the areas are clearly marked so no confusion as to where the little dogs go and the big ones go. Also I would like to note that my dogs only came home a little grassy , compared to all of the other dog parks I have visited this is the first one that we have found without any of those goat heads or burs or whatever sticks itself to your baby’s fur that is impossible to brush out. 💯 recommend this Dog park.
So much stuff to do at this park. You can fish and there’s a water park playground for when it warms up.
Beautiful place of all ages. You can fish, kids play in the water pads playground BBQ, play sports. Family fun time.
Best park on the West side of Phx. Huge playground, waterpark / splash pad. You can fish. There is a dog park for the fur babies.
They renovated the dog park but took a good portion of the grass away. It’s no filled with hard dirt/gravel. It does not make much sense.
