FAQ for River Road Dog Park in Pensacola Florida:
I think it’s perfect. To have a dog beach closer to home vs Pcola beach is amazing. My dogs love it here. Bring your own water, towel, balls, etc.
I loved this park! It is smaller but that doesn’t take away from the experience at all. It’s somewhat secluded, and has beach access. My Rhys loved it and the few people I met were super respectful and made sure to keep a close eye on their dogs. Will absolutely come back here.
Has a long place to let your dogs run. Nice because this county does not allow dogs on public beach’s. There are mussels near the water so be careful if you don’t want your dog’s paws cut.
Absolutely LOVE this dog beach!!! We got lucky and got there when nobody else was there. We had the beach to ourselves which was what we needed for first timers. It does have a shaded gazebo. Also has clean up bags and trash cans. The downside is no waterhose and no bathrooms. There is a dog run area with some grass next to the entry gates. This will forever be our go to dog beach!!
Nice park, not great but nice. It is a rectangle park with a parking lot at one end, a fence, an open play area, another fence then the beach area. So this is nice because the dogs can run around and they are fenced from the water. There is a shade structure in the open play area with a picnic table underneath so not huge but enough. The beach water is warm and shallow for many feet going out. There is no fresh water and no bathrooms.
